In this way, we want to grow the community and function as a meeting place and platform for companies in the sector, to share knowledge and get started with commercial BSF farming. Because we need to work together to be able to make a difference. In that way, we can make giant leaps towards a circular food production, and provide our next generations with a sustainable future. About Insect Engineers
Insect School was founded by Insect Engineers. The mission from Insect Engineers is to make BSF farming as commercially attractive as possible. This is done by delivering turnkey projects but also by sharing knowledge through the Insect School.
We are convinced that the global challenges we face in relation to sustainable food and water supplies as well as climate change can be solved only if sustainable alternatives become commercially viable.
Insects are the future of protein production in the feed and food chain. The larvae of the BSF are an excellent source of animal protein and provide a high-quality source of nutrition for pigs, poultry, fish and pets. This in addition with excellent waste reduction by the BSF.
Insect Engineers develops, builds and supplies machines and climate systems for the global farming of BSF insects on a commercial scale. Providing systems and solutions for the entire production process, from breeding to production and processing.

Bob Holtermans founded Insect Engineers in 2019. This company has the goal of making Black Soldier Fly farming as commercially attractive as possible, by supplying turnkey systems and by sharing knowledge through the Insect School.
A key characteristic of Bob is his practical approach. At a given point we must stop talking and put things into practice. According to his vision, that is the way to make a real difference.
Furthermore, Bob is available as a speaker for conferences in the insect sector. With his experience, expertise and humor, he will convey his enthusiasm about the Black Soldier Fly to the entire audience. Furthermore, he will show why BSF farming is the way forward.
